Meet the Team behind the magic

Maria
Silva-Hart
Founder
Leading with a deep love for art, youth empowerment, and community. After studying international commerce and business administration in Venezuela and gaining experience at Forbes Magazine, she returned to Aruba and founded Vibration PR & Media, combining creativity with purpose.
With over 20 years of experience in cultural production and creative advocacy, Maria has dedicated herself to building platforms for expression. Through Basha, she has nurtured a space where poetry, music, and performance art thrive — organizing monthly youth poetry nights and championing local talent across the island.
“The most significant thing we can do for each other is raise, praise, and inspire one another to express what we love. That’s how we show the world what we’re made of.”

All in the name of art!
Empower artists of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow!
From our signature Poetry is an Island event, which transformed the streets of Aruba into a vibrant showcase of poetry and culture, to our monthly poetry nights held in unconventional locations, we’ve consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional art events. Our innovative approach has earned us recognition and praise within the community.
Basha Foundation has served as a launching pad for many emerging artists, providing them with opportunities to showcase their work, gain exposure, and build confidence in their abilities. We’re proud to have played a role in the growth and development of Aruba’s artistic talent.
